There are certain brands that come to mind when you think of excellence in customer service. To the contrary, there are certain brands that come to mind when you think of less than desirable customer service. It is my hope that everyone would want to have a good name. It should always matter how your name is , perceived, received, and viewed by others.
Maintaining trustworthiness and credibility is also important. You should always be willing to do whatever is necessary to protect your individual brand and family name. Many generations ago, a person’s name and their word meant everything and carried much weight if the individual was on the right side of integrity. Today, individuals regard their name and reputation very little. I still believe that an individual’s name and their word mean something. It costs absolutely nothing to do the right thing and live with integrity. No one will ever really know the value of what is missed from a poor name or word that means little more than the integrity of the person who speaks it.
With that being said, an individual should always do their best to keep their word. If you borrow the money, then repay it. Many may not even consider the amount of theft that is committed when goods, merchandise, and services are purchased with credit that never gets repaid. Let’s think about it. If you purchase $10,000 in furniture from a retailer on a deferred payment plan but never fully repay the furniture retailer, you have essentially stolen the furniture. You use it for your family gathering and functions. You sit on it daily, but you never paid it in full. Not only do you ruin your credit. Your name is tainted and tarnished with the credit bureaus.
